   Ird tax department has been reported with number ‎+6448890050 as Harassment calls

   Call came through the above number and I answered. It is a local Wellington number so assumed a local business. When I answered there was no one on the other end so I hung up and called back.
   An Indian gentleman answered the phone to tell me I had a tax refund due of $85 and asked me for my bank card details so he could process the payment.
   As I already work for a NZ government department I knew straight away it was a scam - so I told the person on the other end to get a real job and stop scamming people and hung up.
   Stay vigilant out there :)

   Missed a call from this number. Called back and IVR said it was IRD. Got through to someone and the call disconnected so I called back. The guy that answered wanted my credit card details claiming that I had a refund due. When I questioned him more, the call disconnected. Definite scam!

   rang at about 3:30pm, I answered and no one spoke for about 5 seconds then they hung up.
